A well-established engineering business is looking to recruit a Panel Wireman / Electrical Panel Wirer to join their workshop team in Gloucester. This is a 100% workshop-based role offering good work, plenty of overtime, and long-term job security. You’ll be joining at a key time, stepping into a role where an experienced Panel Wireman is gradually reducing hours—creating a clear opportunity to become the go-to person in the team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Wiring electrical control panels from schematics and technical drawings
- Assembly and build of control panels for pump systems
- Testing, inspection, and fault-finding on completed panels
- Ensuring all panels are clean, safe, and fully operational before dispatch
- Working closely with electrical and mechanical teams
Requirements:
- Experience as a Panel Wireman / Panel Wirer / Electrical Assembler
- Ability to read electrical schematics and wiring diagrams
- Hands-on experience with control panels or similar electrical systems
- Good attention to detail and quality standards
- Reliable and consistent approach to work
Salary & Benefits:
- £15.90 per hour (£33,072 basic)
- Overtime paid at 1.5x (anything over 8 hours per day)
