A well-established, market-leading engineering business is looking to recruit a Pump Workshop Engineer to join its busy head office workshop team. This is a hands-on role in a fast-paced environment, ideal for someone who enjoys fault-finding, repairing and rebuilding mechanical/electrical equipment. You’ll be part of a close-knit engineering team working on a wide range of pumps and associated systems. If you like getting stuck into real engineering work—not just ticking boxes—this will suit you.
The Role
- Inspect, service, repair and rebuild pumps and associated equipment
- Carry out fault-finding and diagnose mechanical/electrical issues
- Perform performance testing on equipment
- Complete service reports, quotations and job documentation
- Liaise with customers and suppliers where required
- Support colleagues with technical problem-solving
- Maintain a clean, safe and organised workshop
- Manage your own workload to meet deadlines and customer expectations
What We’re Looking For
Essential:
- Level 3 technical qualification (or equivalent)
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in a hands-on workshop environment
- Electrically competent
- Strong fault-finding and problem-solving ability
- Experience working with pumps, motors or similar equipment
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
- IT literate (Microsoft Word & Excel)
- Self-motivated with the ability to manage your own workload
Desirable:
- Industry experience within pumps or rotating equipment
- First Aid / CSCS certification
