Since AMP3 we have delivered in excess of £2bn assets for clients such as Yorkshire Water, United Utilities, Anglian Water, Thames Water, Southern Water, Welsh Water and Scottish Water. We have recently secured a plethora of places on the AMP7 Frameworks for Yorkshire Water, Southern Water and Thames Water for both Infrastructure and Non-Infrastructure projects ranging from £1-40m over the next five years.
We are looking for a dedicated UV Site Services Technician who takes pride in delivering high-quality work, values collaboration, and is motivated by providing excellent service to our clients. What you will be doing:
- Carry out planned and reactive calibrations, servicing, maintenance and repairs on UV Disinfection Systems in line with the company’s high standards.
- Undertake fault-finding tasks and resolve issues efficiently and effectively.
- Participate in the company’s emergency/out-of-hours Call Out Rota supporting our client within the Severn Trent region.
- Maintain clear and positive communication between site and office teams.
- Accurately record all relevant on-site data, including completing report forms and capturing photographic evidence.
- Represent the company professionally on-site, ensuring all work is completed safely, to a high standard, and in a way that supports strong customer relationships.
- Support the UV Team Leader and Site Services Coordinator in planning activities under the UV Contract, ensuring materials and equipment are prepared and optimised for upcoming work.
- Promote and demonstrate excellent working practices.
- Ensure that sites, equipment, and vehicles are kept clean, organised, and well-maintained, particularly ensuring test equipment, tools, apparatus and cabling are safe and hazard-free.
- Demonstrate strong interpersonal and communication skills, working effectively with a diverse range of clients and colleagues.
- Work diligently to deliver exceptional customer service.
About You:
- A completed apprenticeship in a relevant Electrical, Mechanical or Instrumentation discipline (Electrical preferred).
- City & Guilds NVQ Level 3 in a relevant field.
- Certificate in Testing & Inspection.
- 18th Edition qualification (or working towards it).
- ECS Gold Card (or equivalent).
- Relevant on-site experience within a customer-focused environment.
- Experience working with UV Reactors and Disinfection Systems (related experience will be considered).
- A background in Electrical or Commissioning disciplines, with strong fault-diagnosis and repair skills.
- Knowledge of the Water Industry.
