Machine Operative

We are currently seeking experienced and dependable Machine Operatives to join a well-established manufacturing facility in Tankersley. This is an excellent opportunity for candidates with previous experience as a Machine Operative, Machine Operator, Manufacturing Operative, Production Machine Operative, Factory Operative, or Production Operator.

The Role

  • Operating manufacturing machinery and production line equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Machine setting, machine operation, and assisting with machine changeovers.
  • Monitoring machine performance and reporting faults or breakdowns.
  • Operating production lines and electric pressers while working towards daily production KPIs.
  • Carrying out quality inspections to ensure products meet company standards.
  • Completing production paperwork and recording quality checks.
  • Packing finished products and preparing goods for dispatch where required.
  • Maintaining a clean and organised work area in line with 5S and housekeeping standards.
  • Working closely with production, warehouse, and engineering teams.
  • Following all health & safety policies and manufacturing procedures.

Candidate Requirements

  • Previous experience as a Machine Operative, Machine Operator, Production Operative, Manufacturing Operative, or Factory Operative.
  • Experience working within a manufacturing or production environment.
  • Confidence operating production machinery and manufacturing equipment.
  • Strong understanding of health & safety within a factory environment.
  • Experience working towards production targets and KPIs.
  • Multi-skilled experience across warehouse and production operations.
  • Basic computer skills (full training will be provided).
  • A Counterbalance FLT licence is desirable (refresher training available for lapsed licences).
  • A positive attitude with a willingness to learn and progress.

Hours & Benefits

  • Monday - Thursday: 06:00 - 14:30
  • Friday: 06:00 - 12:30
  • 40-hour working week
  • Overtime available:
  • Saturday - Paid at x1.5
  • Sunday - Paid at x2
  • Immediate starts available.
