The Role
As an Asbestos Surveyor, you will complete a varied range of asbestos surveys across domestic, commercial and industrial properties.
You will gather accurate site information, collect samples and produce clear, detailed survey reports while maintaining compliance with current asbestos legislation and company procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct Management, Refurbishment and Demolition asbestos surveys.
- Collect asbestos samples safely and accurately.
- Record detailed site information and survey findings.
- Produce high‑quality survey reports and technical documentation.
- Work across domestic, commercial, industrial and public‑sector sites.
- Build positive relationships with clients and site stakeholders.
- Follow company procedures and relevant industry legislation.
- Maintain high standards of compliance, quality and professionalism.
- Support trainee surveyors where required.
- Contribute to continuous improvement across surveying operations.
- The Candidate
The successful Asbestos Surveyor will be experienced, professional and capable of managing their own workload while maintaining excellent attention to detail.
Requirements
- A BOHS P402 qualification or recognised equivalent.
- Previous experience carrying out asbestos surveys.
- Experience conducting Management, Refurbishment and Demolition surveys.
- A strong understanding of HSG264 and current asbestos legislation.
- Good report‑writing and technical documentation skills.
- Strong communication and client‑facing abilities.
- A full UK driving licence.
- A reliable, organised and accountable approach to work.
- Training and Progression
The business is committed to developing long‑term careers and offers structured progression into positions including Lead Surveyor, Team Leader, Auditor, Project Lead and Project Manager.
Additional qualifications such as P403, P404 and P405 can be fully supported through recognised training providers.
There may also be opportunities to mentor trainee surveyors and develop leadership experience.
