Role Description -

This is a full-time, on-site Estimator role based in High Ongar, working in our growing estimating team.

The Estimator will be responsible for reviewing drawings, specifications, and tender documents to prepare accurate cost estimates for commercial roofing, façade, and cladding projects.

Typical tasks include quantity take-offs, requesting and analysing supplier and subcontractor quotes, and preparing detailed bid proposals.

The role involves collaborating with project managers and the commercial team to refine budgets, value engineer solutions, and track costs against estimates.

The Estimator will maintain up-to-date pricing data, support negotiations, and contribute to improving estimating processes and tools.

Qualifications

  • Strong estimating and cost analysis skills for construction projects, ideally within roofing, façades, or cladding.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and tender documents.
  • Proficiency with estimating software, spreadsheets, and general office applications.
  • Solid numerical, analytical, and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.
