The Property Accountant is responsible for the day -to -day financial management of a designated real estate portfolio. This includes maintaining accurate accounting records, managing service charge funds, and providing high -level financial reporting to stakeholders and property managers.

  • Management Accounts: Preparing quarterly client statements and balance sheet reconciliations.
    <\/li>
  • Service Charge Management: Overseeing service charge budgets, performing year -end reconciliations, and ensuring compliance with RICS guidelines.
    <\/li>
  • Tenant Accounting: Raising rent and service charge demands, managing tenant queries, and overseeing credit control for a portfolio.
    <\/li>
  • Audit Support: Liaising with external auditors for year -end service charge and statutory account reviews.

    Required Skills & Qualifications<\/b>
    <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>

    • Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with commercial / residential real estate -specific accounting standards such as IFRS 16 (Leases) and UK property regulations.
      <\/li>
    • Technical Proficiency: Good -level Excel (VLOOKUPs, pivot tables) is essential.
      <\/li>
    • Specialised Software: Experience with property management systems like Qube (Horizon), Re -Leased, Yardi, MRI, or TRAMPS is highly desirable.
      <\/li>
    • Communication: Ability to explain financial data to non -finance stakeholders, such as property managers and surveyors.
