About the Role<\/b>
<\/p>

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced <\/span>Mechanical Building Services Design Engineer<\/b> <\/span>to join a long -established and respected mechanical services firm. The company specialises in the design and installation of <\/span>HVAC and plumbing systems<\/b> <\/span>for a diverse range of projects across Essex and surrounding counties, including <\/span>commercial, healthcare, and education sectors<\/b>.
<\/p>

This role is ideal for a motivated engineer who enjoys working collaboratively in a dynamic and technically driven environment, delivering innovative mechanical design solutions from concept to completion.
<\/p>

Key Responsibilities<\/b>
<\/p>

  • Lead and contribute to the design and delivery of <\/span>mechanical and HVAC systems<\/b> <\/span>for various projects.
    <\/li>
  • Prepare detailed <\/span>design calculations, drawings, schematics, and technical specifications<\/b>.
    <\/li>
  • Conduct <\/span>site surveys<\/b> <\/span>and provide on -site technical support when required.
    <\/li>
  • Collaborate with <\/span>clients, architects, contractors, and project stakeholders<\/b> <\/span>to ensure coordinated and efficient designs.
    <\/li>
  • Ensure all designs comply with <\/span>UK Building Regulations, CIBSE guidelines<\/b>, and meet <\/span>sustainability and BREEAM standards<\/b>.
    <\/li>
  • Review and evaluate designs from <\/span>suppliers and subcontractors<\/b> <\/span>to ensure quality and compliance.
    <\/li>
  • Participate in <\/span>internal design reviews<\/b>, contributing to continuous improvement and innovation within the design team.
    <\/li><\/ul>

    Experience & Qualifications<\/b>
    <\/p>

    • Degree, HND, or HNC in <\/span>Building Services Engineering<\/b>, <\/span>Mechanical Engineering<\/b>, or equivalent qualification.
      <\/li>
    • Proven experience in <\/span>mechanical design<\/b> <\/span>within the <\/span>building services industry<\/b>.
      <\/li>
    • Experience working across <\/span>commercial, healthcare, and educational environments<\/b>.
      <\/li>
    • Proficient in <\/span>AutoCAD<\/b> <\/span>and relevant design software such as <\/span>MepWorx<\/b>.
      <\/li>
    • Solid understanding of <\/span>CIBSE, BREEAM<\/b>, and <\/span>Building Regulations<\/b>.
      <\/li>
    • Excellent communication, teamwork, and client -facing skills.
      <\/li>
    • Proactive, detail -oriented, and committed to delivering high -quality engineering solutions.
