So not only can they service the entire project, they will main contract a job and act as principal contractor, taking full responsibility for CDM management, meaning you don’t need to hire multiple companies.Due to our continued success and increasing demand for our services we are looking for an experienced Electrical Test engineer to join our team!Key responsibilities:Carry out electrical testing, inspections and remedials in a compliant manner working to the current edition of The IET Wiring Regulation for Electrical Installations (BS7671)Work on your own or in a large team on various customer sitesCompletion of safety documentation, prestart check lists and point of work risk assessmentsThe accurate completion of in -house compliance documentation, job cards and electrical test sheetsEnsure that all accidents/incidents and near misses are reported within the Company guidelinesCarry out all work activities safely and in line RAMS and in line with trainingCompletion of electrical isolations for all relevant worksYou will be reporting to the Qualifying Supervisors and Electrical Site SupervisorsIt’s essential that you have:The ability to prioritise work and work to deadlinesExcellent communication skillsExcellent attention to detailThe confidence and ability to work unsupervisedAn appetite to learn new skills working on industrial installations, control systems and instrumentationThe ability to work well within a teamThe ability to carry out testing on electrical installations and correctly record the results for the production of electrical certificationThe minimum qualifications for this position are:Level 3 City and Guilds Electrical Technical CertificateNVQ level 3 in Electrical InstallationsCity and Guilds 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS7671)City and Guilds 2391 Test and Inspection QualificationA current valid JIB/ECS cardPrevious experience working in the water industry would be beneficial but not essential.Key information:Normal working hours are 37.5 hrs per week Monday to Friday but there may be the need to work outside these hours throughout the week and occasionally at weekendsYour salary will be based on your qualifications and experienceIdeal candidates would live in or around Lancashire or South CumbriaBenefits:Training will be provided where requiredAutomatic enrolment to the company pension schemeCompany uniformCompetitive salary paying well above the JIB standard rates dependent on experience and qualificationsOpportunity for overtime paid at time and a half during the week and before 12pm Saturday, with double time paid Saturday afternoon and Sunday.Travel paid at hourly rate and not per mileCompany vehicle for commuting to and from workHoliday Bonus SchemeCompany Sick Pay SchemeGym membershipAnnual Bonus SchemeJob Type: Full -timeAdditional pay:Bonus schemeBenefits:Company carCompany pensionFree parkingGym membershipOn -site parkingSick paySchedule:Monday to FridayOvertimeWeekend availabilityAbility to commute/relocate:Kendal: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)Experience:electrical: 3 years (required)Work Location: On the road
