Pay Rates (LTD):

  • Days: £19.50 / hr

About the Role

We are currently seeking experienced HGV Class 1 (C+E) Tramper Drivers for long-term, ongoing work with a major logistics provider operating out of the Burton-upon-Trent area. This role involves nationwide trunking and trunking/distribution runs, utilising clean box trailers with minimal manual handling required. Multiple shift schedules are available to fit around your preferred working pattern including standard Monday-Friday tramping, 4-on-4-off rotas, or fixed weekend shifts.

Duties include:

  • Long-distance trunking and planned distribution across major UK routes
  • Clean, straightforward box trailer work with minimal manual labour
  • Managing required rest periods, daily vehicle checks, and digital tachograph logging
  • Keeping cab standards high during multi-day tramping stints

Key Requirements

  • Valid UK HGV Class 1 (Category C+E) Licence
  • Up-to-date Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card
  • Full flexibility for multi-night tramping stays
  • Sound understanding of EU Drivers Hours and Working Time Directive rules
  • Reliable, professional, and confident driving long distances nationwide
