A rare opportunity to shape and build an office, backed by a national brand. One of the oldest standing UK consultancies is now seeking a director to re-establish, grow and drive their Bristol office/offering. This is a chance for you to really influence and scale, with all the backing, support and brand of a well-established firm, a rare role on the market.
The Role
As Director, you will take ownership of rebuilding and growing the Bristol Building Surveying team. Supported initially by an Associate, you will play a key role in shaping the team from the ground up from hiring and onboarding through to mentoring and long-term development. Your responsibilities will include delivering a range of professional and project instructions for occupiers, developers and landlords across multiple sectors. Alongside this, you will play a leading role in driving business development, raising the firm’s profile in the region, attending networking events and securing new client relationships and instructions.
About you, as the successful Director of Building Surveying:
- MRICS qualified with a relevant degree in Building Surveying or a related discipline
- A proven track record in a senior leadership role (Director / Associate Director level), ideally within a consultancy environment
- Strong business development credentials, with the ability to originate opportunities, nurture client relationships and win new instructions
- Confident operating as a public-facing ambassador for the business, comfortable networking and representing the brand in the regional market
- Excellent leadership, mentoring and people management skills, with the ability to inspire and develop talent
