J Squared Solutions are currently recruiting for an experienced Fire Door Carpenter / Fire Door Installer to join a growing team delivering high-quality passive fire protection works across Richmond and the surrounding areas. The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, remediation and maintenance of fire-rated door sets, ensuring all work is completed to a high standard and in line with current fire safety regulations and manufacturer specifications.
Key Responsibilities
- Install timber and uPVC fire door sets to the required standards.
- Install complete door sets, including frames, sidelights, fanlights, ironmongery, intumescent seals and door closers.
- Carry out fire door remediation and remedial carpentry works.
- Undertake general fire protection carpentry, including cupboard construction where required.
- Work to BM TRADA and/or FIRAS installation standards.
- Complete quality checks and identify any defects or compliance issues.
- Read and work from drawings and installation specifications.
- Maintain accurate daily records, photographs and installation information via digital systems.
- Ensure materials, tools and equipment are used efficiently and kept in good condition.
- Maintain a clean, safe and organised working environment.
Follow all Health and Safety regulations.
