J Paxman Landscapes Ltd — West Yorkshire (Huddersfield area) Salary: £32,000 – £40,000 per annum, dependent on experience Hours: Full time, 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday Location: Office based, with occasional site visits across West Yorkshire About Us J Paxman Landscapes Ltd is an established commercial and domestic landscaping contractor based in West Yorkshire. We deliver a full range of hard and soft landscaping works, including New play areas ,paving, masonry, drainage and sub-base construction, alongside planting Trees and shrubs , seeding and grounds maintenance services. As our commercial workload continues to grow, we are looking to strengthen our team with an experienced Landscape Estimator / Quantity Surveyor. The Role You will play a key role in supporting the commercial success of the business, working closely with the Director and site teams to ensure projects are priced accurately, costs are controlled, and profitability is protected from tender through to final account. Key responsibilities: Preparing detailed and accurate cost estimates for commercial and domestic landscaping projects Undertaking take-offs and measuring works from drawings and specifications Sourcing and negotiating pricing with suppliers and subcontractors Preparing and submitting tenders and quotations within agreed deadlines Managing variations, valuations and final accounts on live contracts Monitoring project costs against budget and reporting on commercial performance Building and maintaining relationships with clients, consultants and contractors Supporting the wider team with commercial advice throughout the project lifecycle About You Proven experience in an estimating or quantity surveying role, ideally within landscaping, groundworks or a related construction discipline Strong understanding of hard and soft landscaping works and associated costs Confident reading drawings and specifications, with strong numerical and analytical skills Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills Proficient in Microsoft Excel; experience with estimating software an advantage Strong communication skills, with the ability to liaise professionally with clients and suppliers Full UK driving licence What We Offer Competitive salary of £32,000 – £40,000, dependent on experience 40-hour working week, Monday to Friday Opportunity to grow with an established and expanding business A varied role covering both commercial and domestic landscaping projects Supportive, close-knit team environment How to Apply To apply, please send your CV and a brief covering letter to support@paxman-landscapes.com or contact us on 01484 451387 J Paxman Landscapes Ltd is an equal opportunities employer.
