As a Platform Product Manager, you will help drive the strategy, development, and delivery of our cloud-based engineering platform. You will work closely with product engineering, compliance, and business teams to ensure our infrastructure is secure, scalable, developer-friendly, and compliant with controls. Your focus will be on enabling feature teams to innovate rapidly, while maintaining high standards of reliability, security, and operational excellence.
Our Platform Product team is a new function, focused on enabling engineers to deliver features for customers, by providing robust platform capabilities. We value curiosity, collaboration, and a passion for improving developer experience and infrastructure. We work in teams that focus on specific products and projects, including CI/CD, cloud infrastructure, observability, developer experience, and depending on your strengths and interests you’ll have the opportunity to move between them.
Job Responsibilities
- Develop and communicate a clear platform strategy that delivers value to engineering teams and aligns with firmwide objectives.
- Lead discovery and research to identify platform needs, pain points, and opportunities for automation and self-service.
- Own and manage the platform product backlog, prioritizing work that supports innovation, compliance, and operational efficiency.
- Define and track key success metrics for the platform, including cost optimization, reliability, risk posture, and developer satisfaction.
- Build strong collaborative relationships across engineering, compliance, operations, and external partners to ensure platform solutions meet diverse needs.
- Organize and maintain a transparent roadmap and backlog, ensuring the team delivers platform capabilities that drive business and engineering outcomes.
- Champion best practices in platform product development, continuously improving how infrastructure and developer tools are built and delivered.
- Balance business, technical, and compliance objectives, translating these into clear priorities for platform engineering teams.
- Oversee platform development, testing, and release management, ensuring high standards of quality, security, and reliability.
- Actively participate in agile ceremonies, driving transparency, accountability, and continuous improvement across the platform team.
Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills
- Significant experience in product management or a relevant technical domain, ideally within financial services or technology infrastructure.
- Proven track record of delivering platform or infrastructure products, with familiarity in cloud, CI/CD, developer experience, and controls compliance.
- Advanced knowledge of the product development lifecycle, platform design, and data analytics.
- Experience leading product activities including discovery, ideation, strategic development, requirements definition, and value management.
- Demonstrated success in delivering large, complex platform initiatives with cross-team dependencies.
- Ability to explain technical issues in a clear way to the business and other stakeholders.
- Ability to analyse and incorporate user needs, business needs, and technical constraints/opportunities into the product development process.
- Skilled at building shared understanding across departments, translating ideas into actionable platform solutions.
- Experience with software delivery best practices, technical requirements mapping, and designing minimum viable products.

- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, or a related field.
- Experience working in matrixed, complex organizations and collaborating effectively across teams and functions.
