As a Principal Cybersecurity Architect at JPMorgan Chase within Cybersecurity and Tech Controls, you are a senior technical leader responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the firm’s cybersecurity architecture. You provide expertise to enhance and develop architecture platforms based on modern cloud-based technologies and support the adoption of strategic global solutions. Leveraging your advanced architecture capabilities, you identify, create, and communicate risk, mitigation options, and solutions, ensuring that security strategies and solutions align with business objectives, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices. You collaborate with IT teams, business stakeholders, and external partners across the organization to safeguard applications and data and drive best-in-class outcomes.
Job Responsibilities
- Advises cross-functional teams on technology selection to achieve target state cybersecurity and decisions on improvements to current cybersecurity parameters.
- Develops multi-year roadmaps aligned with business and architecture strategy and priorities.
- Creates complex and scalable secure application and infrastructure architecture frameworks on heterogeneous environments including public cloud, for new system design patterns and process templates.
- Develops secure, high-quality, production-ready code to create proof-of-concept security solutions.
- Serves as the function’s go-to subject matter expert and drives thought leadership within the product line.
- Contributes to the development of technical methods in cybersecurity in line with the latest product development methodologies.
- Creates durable, reusable security architecture patterns that improve security, velocity and quality of output across teams and functions.
Required qualifications, capabilities and skills
- Hands-on practical experience in zero-trust cybersecurity architecture that has applicability and reusability across business/functions and systems.
- Expertise in one or more programming language(s).
- Deep expertise in cybersecurity principles and practices.
- Advanced knowledge in network security, identity management, and access management.
- Advanced knowledge of software architecture, application development and technical processes with considerable in-depth knowledge in one or more technical disciplines (e.g., public cloud, AI/ML, mobile, etc.).
- Experience applying expertise and new methods to determine solutions for complex architecture problems in one or more technical disciplines.
- Ability to present and effectively communicate with senior leaders and executives.
- Understanding of the business and knowledgeable of latest risk trends in the internal and external environments.
- Practical cloud native experience.
- Experience leading a product as a product owner or product manager.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and manage technical teams.
