Covering Payments, Lending (Banking), Markets, and Trade Finance, this position sits within Payments Operations while operating across a broad, cross-line-of-business program.

As a Vice President within Market Expansion Operational Readiness team, you will be responsible for driving delivery across assigned workstreams, supporting governance forums, and translating strategic priorities into executable plans (roadmaps, timelines, and dependencies) across multiple lines of business. You will coordinate with key partners (Operations, Client Service, Implementations, KYC, Legal, Compliance, local market teams, Product, and Technology) to manage dependencies and escalations, and to ensure first-line ownership of controls and documentation from current-state assessment through future-state design.

Job responsibilities

  • Drive market expansion operational readiness workstreams, standards, and execution, ensuring consistent application across new-market entries and all CIB lines of business in scope.
  • Support the lead in cross-functional, cross-LOB steering forums and drive execution on scope, sequencing, risk acceptance, and delivery timelines.
  • Manage the integrated portfolio plan and critical path across all in-scope LOBs functions, aligning with Product and Technology; remove blockers and escalate RAIDs to protect milestones.
  • Support definition of go-live readiness criteria, including client impact, operational SLAs, control design, and regulatory compliance, with clear exit/entry gates applicable across all lines of business.
  • Contribute to the design of the target operating model for new-market expansion, including design, controls, capacity planning, and support model across Firm wide utilities, LOB Operational teams, Client Service & Onboarding and others, spanning Payments, Lending (Banking), Markets, and Trade Finance.
  • Drive metrics and benefits tracking for market launches; provide transparent reporting on readiness, risk, and performance against plan to the Ops Readiness lead and senior stakeholders.
  • Drive change management, communications, and training to ensure operational adoption and client-ready execution at launch across all lines of business.
  • Guide and support cross-functional, cross-LOB teams through the operational readiness milestones; set expectations for delivery and promote a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and control discipline within the Ops Readiness team.
  • Drive and own the end-to-end delivery of market execution against the Market Expansion Operational Readiness Playbook.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Strong experience driving complex, cross-functional programs in financial services operations spanning multiple product lines or lines of business, with accountability for workstream delivery outcomes and control effectiveness.
  • Demonstrated ability to translate strategy into executable plans and portfolio roadmaps, integrating product, technology, and operational dependencies across diverse business lines.
  • Effective stakeholder management and communications skills, with a track record of influencing senior leaders across LOBs and driving disciplined, data-driven execution under time pressure.
  • Strong analytical and structured problem-solving skills; adept at defining readiness criteria, and driving delivery across a broad operational portfolio.
  • Exceptional organizational discipline with the ability to prioritise dynamically, manage critical paths, and guide teams through ambiguity to predictable outcomes.

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Experience executing delivery within global, cross-LOB teams across regions and time zones with a consistent operating cadence and governance model.
  • Proven track record in high-pressure large-scale change management and transformation delivery spanning multiple business lines/functional teams.
  • Familiarity with program/project delivery practices and tools (Monday.Com) to integrate business and technology execution across diverse product domains.
  • Familiarity with regulatory compliance, KYC, and operational risk frameworks, and effective partnership with Legal and Compliance in multi-jurisdictional, multi-product contexts.
