As a Valuation Control Analyst in the Valuation Control Group, you ensure the accuracy and consistency of fair value assessments across a wide range of financial products. You will partner with business leaders, risk, and finance teams to drive best practices and implement effective controls. We empower you to innovate, automate, and enhance our valuation processes. Your work will help us meet regulatory standards and deliver value to our clients and stakeholders.
Job responsibilities
- Execute price verification and benchmark processes, including calculation of fair value adjustments
- Assist with established valuation control practices and control initiatives
- Perform tasks related to management reporting and regulatory mandates
- Partner with functional groups to resolve valuation issues and implement effective solutions
- Enhance the control framework by reviewing pricing processes and developing new tools
- Analyze transaction and process flows for loans and securitized products
- Perform financial modeling, including prepayment, default, and severity scenarios
- Automate workflows using Excel macros, Alteryx, and Python
- Analyze market data using Bloomberg, IntexCalc, and Refinitiv Eikon
- Prepare and present findings to senior management and stakeholders
- Contribute to value-added projects supporting business, risk, and finance initiatives
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Significant experience in financial product valuation, including loans and securitized products
- Undergraduate degree in finance or economics
- Ability to understand complex products and analyze transaction flows
- Strong analytical and quantitative aptitude
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including developing macros using VBA
- Experience with Bloomberg, IntexCalc, and Refinitiv Eikon
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks efficiently
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
