As a Senior Lead Software Engineer at JPMorgan Chase within the Public Cloud Engineering organization, you play a crucial role in an agile team dedicated to facilitating the adoption and utilization of public cloud services across the company. Job Responsibilities
- Regularly provides technical guidance and direction to support the business and its technical teams, contractors, and vendors.
- Develops secure and highâquality production code, and reviews and debugs code written by others.
- Drives decisions that influence the product design, application functionality, and technical operations and processes.
- Serves as a functionâwide subject matter expert in one or more areas of focus.
- Actively contributes to the engineering community as an advocate of firmwide frameworks, tools, and practices of the Software Development Life Cycle.
- Influences peers and project decisionâmakers to consider the use and application of leadingâedge technologies.
- Adds to the team culture of diversity, opportunity, inclusion, and respect.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Formal training or certification on cloud engineering concepts and proficient advanced experience.
- Extensive practical experience with at least one public cloud (Google Cloud Platform, Amazon Web Services).
- Handsâon practical experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
- Advanced in one or more programming language(s): Python, Java, Golang.
- Ability to tackle design and functionality problems independently with little to no oversight.
- Experience in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, or a related technical field.
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Handsâon practical experience with Infrastructure As Code tooling (Terraform, CloudFormation).
- Practical cloud native experience including containerization and Kubernetes.
- Relevant public cloud certifications (GCP Cloud Architect, GCP Cloud DevOps Engineer, AWS Solutions Architect, AWS CloudOps Engineer etc.).
- Experience building and operating observability platforms for large organisations (GCP Cloud Logging, GCP Cloud Monitoring, AWS CloudWatch).
