As a Product Manager at JPMorgan Chase within the Cards Platform team, you are the heart of this venture, focused on getting smart ideas into the hands of our customers. Job responsibilities
- Be the voice of customers in your product and API designs, and play an active role in designing a product development process that engages customer pointâofâview and insights frequently.
- Own key customer journeys, with deep understanding for their jobsâtoâdone and pain points from sales engagement, integrations, all the way to businessâasâusual postâlaunch operations.
- Represent the product internally and work closely with peer teams to identify dependencies and align execution, ensuring any shared customers are shielded from unnecessary coordination complexity.
- Gather and write product requirements through collaborative stakeholder partnerships (engineering, design & research, legal, controls, and peer product teams, etc.).
- Shape visions alongside execution goals (via OKRs) to ensure the team stays inspired while iteratively delivering.
- Develop and run Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning and standups alongside engineering leads.
- Facilitate new business approvals process, product reviews, policy and compliance checks for both product and complementary operational processes, market research, and goâtoâmarket activities.
- Advocate for platform thinking to ensure the team is building with scale, extensibility, and reusability in mind, while striking a balance between commercial milestones.
- Communicate effectively and proactively with diverse senior leaders, to ensure alignment on goals and project progress alongside a clear overarching organizational objectives.
Required qualifications, capabilities and skills
- Experience in a product management role building SaaS platforms in B2B businesses.
- Experience with platform/API products and related system design concepts in order to help translate the needs and requirements of the customers into a wellâdesigned services.
- Experience with leading customer discovery efforts to deeply understand (e.g. interviews/desk research/A/B testing, etc.) user needs, pain points, motivations to change, and decision processes.
- Domain knowledge in financial products, e.g. card issuing, lending, banking as a service, merchant acquiring, etc.
- Knowledge for the additional rigor around regulatory requirements that banks are subjected to.
- Selfâstarter, keen to take independent ownership and responsibility in their role.
- Appetite to learn new technologies and working closely in a fastâpaced, crossâfunctional environment.
- Enjoy being handsâon in dayâtoâday functions to keep a new organization moving forward, which can include testing APIs, obtaining ad hoc customer feedback with supervision from research, designing and adjusting waysâofâworking in a new team, etc.
