As the Experience Design Vice President within J.P. Morgan Asset Management, you will lead our Design System and Web Experiences for Marketing, promoting innovative, inclusive, and accessible digital solutions. You will blend user needs with business goals in a dynamic financial services environment, collaborating with cross-functional teams to shape the user experience, set design standards, and foster a culture of continuous improvement. You will champion the creation and evolution of cohesive, scalable designs that empower teams to deliver seamless, innovative, and accessible digital experiences. Leveraging your expertise in experience design, you will promote the development of features and standards that delight customers and set new benchmarks for usability and inclusivity. As a leader, you will challenge conventional thinking, remove obstacles to progress, and foster a culture of continuous collaboration to enable the delivery of groundbreaking solutions that transform the digital customer journey and reinforce our commitment to design excellence.
Job responsibilities
- Create, evolve, and maintain a cohesive design system for digital products and platforms.
- Develop UI kits, components, guidelines, and documentation for designers and engineers.
- Transform design system vision into product strategy and execution roadmap.
- Gather, prioritize, and document platform requirements; manage interdependencies and facilitate trade-off discussions.
- Ensure designs are specified with detailed interaction behaviour, aligned with brand guidelines and accessibility specs.
- Incorporate inclusive design principles and accessibility guidelines to serve a diverse user base.
- Partner with marketing, design, and engineering teams to optimize workflows and deliver seamless experiences.
- Lead internal knowledge-sharing sessions and workshops to elevate AEM expertise.
- Operate with an iterative design mindset, leveraging user feedback and data insights.
- Analyse market trends and conduct research to inform design decisions and optimize user experiences.
Required qualifications, capabilities and skills
- Extensive experience in digital product management, including experience as a Product Owner.
- Technical expertise in design systems at scale (Figma, ZeroHeight, Jira, Confluence).
- Advanced UI/UX design skills for web, app, and accessibility standards.
- Experience with change management governance and rolling out new tools/capabilities.
- Proven ability to lead large-scale digital transformation initiatives.
- Expertise in Adobe Experience Manager (AEM), including Sites, Assets, and Forms.
- Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and backlog management.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience working in multidisciplinary and geographically distributed teams.
- Detail-oriented, self-starter, comfortable with ambiguity and evolving requirements.
Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills
- Design leadership or managerial experience.
- Experience designing applications within complex business domains (financial services or similar).
- Advocate for accessibility guidelines and inclusive design practices.
- Skilled in structuring and planning design work in cross-functional contexts.
- Familiarity with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React, and mobile UI standards.
- Experience with large-scale transformation programs in enterprise environments.
