Role Overview
As an Assistant within the CIB, you will predominantly perform diverse secretarial duties requiring confidentiality, a strong work ethic and common-sense approach. Support requirements will vary from day-to-day dependent on the business covered and all applicants should have a solid PA background and skill set with a strong degree of flexibility given the demanding nature of this role.
What you'll do
- Provide advanced, proactive diary management, balancing competing priorities and anticipating scheduling needs.
- Act as a professional point of contact for internal and external clients, building strong working relationships.
- Coordinate complex global travel arrangements, including visas and ground transport, managing frequent changes and producing detailed itineraries.
- Oversee expense management in partnership with offshore teams, ensuring compliance with policy and accurate processing.
- Organise internal and external meetings, conference calls, and virtual sessions, while maintaining accurate system updates across internal platforms.
- Deliver comprehensive administrative support and collaborate with assistant teams to ensure seamless coverage across the CIB function.
What you bring
- Proven PA experience within a large organisation, ideally in the Public Sector, supporting senior leaders including Executive Directors and below, with flexibility to assist Global Head level when required.
- Advanced diary management skills with the ability to prioritise competing demands in a busy, high-volume environment.
- Strong experience coordinating complex travel arrangements and managing expenses accurately and in line with policy.
- Confident communicator with the ability to build effective relationships across large teams and senior stakeholders.
- Proactive, detail-focused and solutions-driven, able to anticipate needs and work independently.
- Resilient and adaptable, with the ability to perform under pressure in a fast-paced setting.
