Job Description
Risk Technology provides the firm with a suite of applications and processes to manage risk across a number of areas/pillars, including Market Risk, Wholesale Credit Risk, Asset Wealth Management Risk and Climate & Nature Risk.
As a cross-pillar leader in Program Governance and Management, you will have the opportunity to both define and drive a variety of strategies and project deliveries.
You'll work directly with the Risk Technology leadership to identify and prioritize projects that serve the best interest of the risk division.
To drive cross-pillar Project Execution, you'll partner with your Project Execution colleagues within each pillar.
You will be responsible to define program frameworks and facilitate planning, organization and execution of projects to ensure successful definition and delivery of agreed scope.
This role will also involve working with the central Corporate Technology program team to help define and implement an approach that will provide full investment transparency to all stakeholders.
Spending time with the Risk Engineering teams will be essential to understand how work executes today and building relationships with key project execution stakeholders across Corporate Technology and the Risk Management organisation.
You will review project execution ownership models and ensure we have appropriate execution governance in place.
- Job responsibilities
- Execute and improve governance for key Risk Technology programmes, partnering with senior management to review progress, risks, issues and milestones on a regular cadence
- Define best-practice programme management guidelines for Risk Technology, supported by practical examples and a forward-looking view on how AI solutions will evolve ways of working
- Drive transformation in ways of working and promote a culture of continuous improvement, innovation and operational efficiency
- Lead cross-pillar programme execution to ensure successful delivery of strategic technology initiatives
- Shape and articulate the Risk Technology investment story for key partners and stakeholders
- Uses enterprise-authorized AI capabilities within the work environment to accelerate program planning and risk synthesis (e. g., consolidating inputs into integrated plans, RAID, and executive-ready updates), validating outputs and handling data according to sensitivity requirements.
- Define workstreams and provide leadership across them, setting scope, direction and approach while agreeing and tracking deliverables
- Manage critical dependencies across pillars and with partner teams across the firm
- Identify, assess and mitigate programme risks
- Proactively surface and resolve issues, escalating where appropriate
- Promotes reuse-first, AI-assisted practices for program governance and reporting, ensuring human review and alignment to delivery standards.
- Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Demonstrated experience in driving complex investment programs
- Energy and ability to drive forward projects towards completion, identifying key risks, issues and dependencies, and working to resolve / escalate these where required
- Demonstrated experience in facilitating discussions to design technology solutions
- Demonstrated experience using enterprise-authorized AI capabilities within the work environment to support program management workflows with strong validation habits and awareness of data sensitivity.
- Ability to review and validate AI-assisted plans, risks, and recommendations before use, escalating when uncertain and following data handling expectations.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively
- Ability to work through the detail of how an engineering organisation operates today, and understand the strengths and weaknesses of that approach.
- Experience in driving cultural change across a globally diverse organisation
- Experience in working with and leveraging a data driven approach to decision making
- Demonstrate how goals can be achieved at a low cost / high levels of data driven automation
