As a Vice President, UK EPRM corporates (Energy, Power, Renewables & Mining, including Utilities), in London, you’ll have experience developing strong relationships with corporates and financial institution clients and working across different products. You will work on deals and transactions across the spectrum of our banking products, including mergers & acquisitions, divestitures, restructurings, loans, and equity capital and debt capital raises.
Roles within the Investment Banking business are balanced between providing ongoing services to clients, winning new business and the execution of projects. You will work across the spectrum of Energy, Power, Renewables and Miningclients and transactions.
Job responsibilities
- Act as the primary day-to-day client point of contact and lead banker on deals
- Review and coordinate the analytic work of junior bankers to move marketing/execution process forward
- Refine marketing/execution materials for maximum client impact
- Oversee the creation offinancial projection models
- Identify and manage all risks in a given deal
- Liaise with other internal and external parties on transactions (eg. lawyers, accountants, counterparties)
- Lead client negotiations, Q&A process and management interviews
Required qualifications, capabilities and skills
- Prior experience in Investment Banking or transactions, with either EPRM sector specificor UK market experience
- Strong financial modelling, valuation and analytical skills
- Highly organized, detail oriented and proactive, energetic and decisive, with high level of integrity
- Strong leadership, as well as people and project management skills
- Able to communicate concepts and ideas both verbally and via documentation, to and be able to defend their validity
- A relationship builder, who can establish trust and credibility with clients and the broader J.P. Morgan franchise
- Ability to work well under pressure and to tight deadlines, and have the aptitude to synthesize large amounts of information and to develop innovative solutions
- Demonstrates adaptability, able to manage projects independently and be ready to assume a high level of responsibility as a member of a team
- Ability to comfortably interact with clients in a professional and mature manner
- Experience in training junior bankers
