As an Asset & Wealth Management Index Data Owner, VP in the Index Product Team, you will execute critical data management activities that support strategic business and product objectives. You will ensure data is well-understood, documented, and effectively utilized across the organization. You will partner with stakeholders to manage data quality, governance, and risk, while fostering strong relationships with data delivery partners and consumers. Your leadership will help drive innovation and maintain high standards for data integrity and compliance.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Execute data management and data risk responsibilities across the entire data lifecycle.
  • Ensure responsible use, sharing, and protection of data, maintaining quality and reliability.
  • Define, describe, and register data products and offerings for accessibility and compliance.
  • Leverage authorized data sources and integrate best practices into the product development lifecycle.
  • Develop and provide subject matter expertise on index and benchmarks data content.
  • Identify and prioritize critical data, ensuring thorough documentation and classification.
  • Register and maintain data sets in catalog tools for consumption across the business.
  • Collaborate with product, technology, and business stakeholders to champion data needs and strategies.
  • Promote data literacy and a data-driven culture within the team.
  • Monitor and address data risks, ensuring compliance with firmwide policies and standards.
  • Identify opportunities to leverage AI tools and alternate index providers for competitive advantage.

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
  • Expertise in business or product data management and processes.
  • Experience managing delivery across multiple workstreams with varying priorities.
  • Ability to drive strategic changes and deliver results in a dynamic environment.
  • Strong partnership and influencing skills across diverse teams and functions.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex concepts clearly.
  • Technical understanding of data management, governance, and cloud-based data platforms.
  • Knowledge of product development and Agile methodologies.

  • Experience with index innovation strategies in Asset & Wealth Management.
  • Familiarity with data catalog tools and metadata management.
