As an Human Resources Business Advisor – EMEA Banking – Vice President / Executive Director, you will support a portfolio of clients within our organisation and play an integral role in delivering people strategies through data, insights, and technology. Working closely with business leaders and HR partners, you will help drive talent outcomes, organisational effectiveness, and employee engagement while providing high-quality HR advisory support in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

Revised responsibilities

  • Support the delivery of people agenda initiatives across aligned businesses.
  • Partner with senior business and HR leaders on both strategic and day-to-day human capital matters, providing practical and commercially focused HR advice.
  • Provide guidance and coaching to managers on people-related topics including talent development, performance management, organisational effectiveness, and employee engagement.
  • Lead the execution of annual talent, performance, and compensation processes, partnering with stakeholders to ensure consistent and effective delivery.
  • Partner with business leaders to support an inclusive culture and leverage firmwide diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives.
  • Support employee feedback initiatives, including Employee Opinion Surveys and Pulse Checks, and help drive meaningful action planning.
  • Develop an understanding of the business, its operating model, and commercial priorities, translating insights into people-focused solutions.
  • Analyse workforce data and trends to identify opportunities, risks, and areas for improvement, providing actionable recommendations to stakeholders.
  • Embrace innovation and new technologies, including AI-enabled tools, to enhance efficiency, effectiveness, and the employee experience.
  • Collaborate with Centres of Excellence and HR partners to bring together the appropriate resources in support of business priorities.
  • Champion continuous improvement across HR processes, helping to drive simplification, efficiency, and scalable execution.
  • Provide sound advice on HR policies, governance, risk, and regulatory requirements, ensuring consistent application across the business.

Required Qualifications, Capabilities and Skills

  • Experience working within Human Resources, preferably in an HR Business Advisor, HR Business Partner, or related role.
  • Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building skills, with the ability to partner effectively across different levels of the organisation.
  • Ability to operate successfully within a highly matrixed and fast-paced environment.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and communicate insights effectively.
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills.
  • Proven ability to collaborate across teams and deliver HR initiatives through partnership and influence.
  • Commercial mindset with the ability to understand business priorities and translate them into people-focused solutions.
  • Demonstrated capability across core HR disciplines including strategic advisory, business acumen, change management, and technology adoption.

Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities and Skills

  • Knowledge of performance management, compensation, talent management, workforce planning, organisational design, employee relations, and leadership development.
  • Experience supporting organisational change initiatives and business transformation programmes.
