With your expertise in delivering infrastructure solutions, you are a top-performer in your field. As an Infrastructure Engineer II at JPMorganChase within the Market Data Distribution Systems, you will develop knowledge of software, applications, and technical processes within the infrastructure engineering discipline. You will apply technical knowledge to assignments with a defined scope such as testing the performance of the infrastructure and understanding and verifying that requirements were successfully met.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Driving results, collecting and analysing monitoring data in test and production, and seeing assignments through to completion.
  • Developing considerations for upstream/downstream data and systems or technical implications.
  • Providing production support for critical market data platforms, ensuring stability, performance, and availability.
  • Developing tools and automation to improve production support processes, monitoring, and overall stability of the market data infrastructure.
  • Collaborating with team members to resolve problems and deliver project tasks and troubleshooting efforts.
  • Liaising with plan/build teams to ensure a smooth transition from project delivery to business-as-usual support for new products and processes.
  • Working with vendors to help drive technical strategy, improve service, and resolve recurring or systemic issues.
  • Developing and managing key relationships across the firm and with industry/business community contacts to help shape direction and adopt best practices.
  • Contributing to a team culture of diversity, opportunity, inclusion, and respect.

Proficient knowledge of hardware, networking terminology, databases, storage engineering, deployment practices, integration, automation, scaling, resilience, and performance assessments is required. Experience with cloud technologies with the ability to operate in and migrate across public cloud, AWS is essential. Knowledge of and hands-on experience of market data technologies (installation and support of) used by trading applications is also necessary, including knowledge of market data feeds and trading content (previous experience with direct exchange connectivity is an advantage).

Additional qualifications include:

  • Experience in Programming/scripting: Shell, Python, Perl, SQL.
  • Experience in Networking: IP (TCP/UDP/MCAST) and familiarity with switch/routing topologies.
  • Linux (RedHat) system administration.
