As a Software Engineer III at JPMorgan Chase within Global Banking Technology, you will serve as a seasoned member of an agile team to design and deliver trusted, market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. You are responsible for carrying out critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firm's business objectives.
Job responsibilities
- Participate in the design and development of scalable and resilient systems using .NET Framework, .NET Core, and React to drive continual, iterative improvements for product teams.
- Execute software solutions, including design, development, and technical troubleshooting, primarily using .NET technologies and React.
- Create secure and high-quality production-ready user interfaces.
- Produce or contribute to architecture and design artifacts for applications, ensuring design constraints are met by software code development.
- Gather, analyze, synthesize, and develop visualizations and reporting from large, diverse data sets to support continuous improvement of software applications and systems.
- Identify hidden problems and patterns in data and use these insights to drive improvements in coding hygiene and system architecture.
- Contribute to software engineering communities of practice and events that explore new and emerging technologies.
- Focus on application development, creating efficient and user-friendly software.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and proficient applied experience.
- Hands-on practical experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability using .NET Framework and .NET Core.
- Design and develop responsive and visually appealing user interfaces using React, HTML, and CSS, ensuring a seamless user experience across all devices.
- Proficiency in using TypeScript to develop robust applications.
- Implement and maintain reusable code and libraries for future use, ensuring consistency and efficiency in UI development.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest UI trends, techniques, and technologies, and apply them to improve the user experience.
- Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to peers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and learning.
- Expertise in JavaScript frameworks, particularly React.js.
- Proficiency in testing to ensure software quality, reliability, and user-friendly software.
- Experience in building reusable components.
- Experience in developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment with .NET Framework, .NET Core, and database querying languages.
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Experience working closely with product teams to understand business requirements.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with UX teams to refine design concepts.
- Familiarity with modern front-end technologies.
- Understanding of agile practices, including Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD).
- Experience with Ribbon XML for UI is a plus.
