What you'll do

  • Manage end-to-end intake and triage of new cases via HR systems and email, ensuring appropriate routing and escalation where required.
  • Support employees and managers through sickness absence and leave of absence processes, including occupational health coordination and reasonable adjustment cases.
  • Act as a primary point of contact for complex or sensitive queries, communicating clearly with stakeholders via phone and written correspondence.
  • Partner with HR and wider business teams to resolve cases efficiently, ensuring timely and compliant outcomes.
  • Maintain accurate case records and complete all required tracking, documentation and HR system updates.
  • Deliver high-quality service by meeting defined SLAs, quality standards and productivity targets while processing HR transactions accurately.

What you bring

  • HR background with at least 3 years' experience in HR Advisor, HR Consultant or HR Business Partner roles, managing complex employee relations cases.
  • Strong employee relations case management experience, with a focus on sickness absence, occupational health and related workplace support processes.
  • Solid understanding of UK sickness absence frameworks and reasonable adjustment processes, including coordination with occupational health providers.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with employees, managers and senior stakeholders in writing and verbally.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment, demonstrating accuracy, organisation and strong problem-solving capability.
  • Experience using HR systems such as ServiceNow or Oracle HCM, alongside strong Microsoft Office skills, with confidence working through ambiguity and escalating appropriately.
