The Asset Management Client Skills Training Team (CST) is dedicated to designing, developing, and delivering consistent skills and knowledge-based training programs for internal stakeholders and external clients. The CST team works closely with the Asset Management Operating Committee to ensure these teams have the skills necessary to improve our client outcomes and experiences. This role is ideal for someone looking to develop connection to the entire Asset Management business.
As the Head of Client Skills EMEA you will play a key role in leading the EMEA region by partnering with regional and global leaders to determine strategic priorities that are aligned with training programs, individual coaching, and delivering client-facing programs such as Consultative Selling, Negotiation Skills and Presentation Skills, along with adoption of our innovative technology platform for both investors and distribution teams. This role will require the skills to manage a team who will train and coach our Client and Investor teams.
Responsibilities
- Engage with leadership, business stakeholders and subject matter experts to determine training and coaching priorities and further shape exercises and workshops, in close coordination with design and participant experience partners.
- Help support the team in the activation & adoption strategy for client-facing & investor teams as we leverage our proprietary tech tools.
- Act as a facilitator and coach to execute training programs, building relationships with stakeholders across our business and partners on our team.
- Champion a culture of innovation and a client-centric mindset.
- Facilitate the delivery of content that not only reinforces foundational programs but also seamlessly transitions to more advanced material, empowering client and investment teams to drive positive outcomes.
- Partner with large asset owner clients to develop the training programs, which will include the design, development, and delivery of training material for clients in on-site regional locations.
- Partner with team members to design new content and refresh existing content.
- Regional travel will be required ~20% of the time.
Required qualifications, capabilities and skills
- 10 years industry experience inclusive of people management experience.
- Extensive client-facing experience in asset management, with a proven ability to build credibility and influence both internal sales teams and external clients or investors.
- Demonstrated success in training, coaching, and developing professionals within the asset management industry, using strong interpersonal and consultative skills to drive sales effectiveness and client engagement.
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (such as Finance, Business, or Economics).
- Solution-oriented approach with outstanding communication, presentation, and facilitation skills, able to deliver compelling messages to clients, investors, and sales teams.
- Strategic and creative thinker with experience designing and implementing initiatives that support asset gathering, client retention, and business growth.
- Proven ability to establish and maintain strong relationships with business leaders, sales professionals, and key stakeholders across the asset management landscape.
- Leadership presence and credibility to interact confidently with senior executives, institutional clients, and investors, influencing outcomes and supporting business objectives.
- Have a commercial mindset with the focus on the opportunity for business growth within the region.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; Ability to manage competing priorities and multiple priorities in a flexible manner.
