Overview

The DAA provides strong administrative support to the Design team as well as design-based tasks. Reporting into Designer/Senior level, they work collaboratively across the design departments including with the other DAA’s and the wider team. You will be an integral part of the team and create strong relationships with Buying & Technical counterparts too. We currently have two Design Admin positions available on our Womenswear areas.

Location: 4-5 days per week at our North Acton office, with 0-1 days WFH.

Portfolio: Applicants must attach a portfolio/ examples of work to be considered for the role.

What You Will Do

  • PLM management including, uploading of tech packs/artworks, colours, setting up of BOMS and training new team members where necessary.
  • Email and supplier correspondence.
  • Sample management from brought to development samples.
  • Approval of trims, strike-off’s, artworks & lab dips.
  • CP management.
  • Ensure design and creative areas are kept presentable and tidy.
  • Colour Palette work including creating colour palettes, ordering colours and colour management processes.
  • Support the teams setting up seasonal Miro boards, build garment range boards, keep boards updated during the creative process, archive at the end of each design block.
  • Sketch into samples/shapes/prints/logos, dropping in colour/embroideries/ print where directed.
  • Embroidery & artwork packs.
  • Research into competitors and inspirational brands.
  • Meeting prep: before internal meetings be on hand to help set up rooms with the relevant requirements – samples, handlooms, etc.
  • Accurate note taking in meetings.
  • Design tracker management.

What We’re Looking For

  • Good basic knowledge of competitor & aspirational brands.
  • Comfortable working on administrative tasks, alongside creative elements.
  • Keen interest for colour/print.
  • Excellent CAD skills including Adobe Illustrator & Photoshop.
  • PLM experience preferable.
  • Ideally a BA hons Fashion Design/Print/Illustration/Textiles Degree or a relevant internship would be desirable.
  • To have a mindset to be flexible and resilient to change.
  • Feel part of and contribute towards a positive creative culture.
  • To be organised and proactive.
