As our Head of Digital Delivery, you will be responsible for embedding digital ways of working across MMBC’s design, construction and support functions to improve safety, efficiency, quality, and commercial performance. In this role you will provide the strategic direction, leadership, and governance for digital delivery, while remaining grounded in operational reality, ensuring that digital initiatives translate into practical, repeatable value on projects. Acting as the bridge between strategy and site, you will align digital capability with business priorities, client needs and regulatory expectations, and work collaboratively across our Design, Operational, Commercial and Support teams.
Your main duties will include:
- Define and maintain the MMBC Digital Delivery strategy, aligned to the MMBC Business Plan and wider Mott MacDonald Group objectives.
- Translate strategic intent into clear, prioritised, deliverable initiatives with measurable outcomes.
- Provide visible leadership for digital delivery across MMBC, setting direction, pace and expectations.
- Represent Digital Delivery at regional and operational board level, influencing decision‑making and investment.
- Ensure digital delivery is integrated into how MMBC designs, builds and hands over assets, not treated as a bolt‑on.
- Champion model‑based delivery, digital construction, and information‑led decision making across the project lifecycle.
- Drive consistent use of digital delivery planning, MIDPs and information management practices.
- Ensure digital approaches support: safer construction, improved buildability, right‑first‑time delivery, efficient commissioning and handover.
- Support bidding and client engagement by articulating digital value propositions clearly and honestly.
Who we’re looking for:
We’re looking for someone who wants to continue driving our strategy of digital delivery and enjoys convincing and cajoling others to do so. You will have previous experience of delivering projects using digital technology but may also have a specialism, skills or passion such as BIM, GIS, digital construction, data analytics, automation, or other aspect of digital.
Other desirable knowledge would be:
- Knowledge of the project technology landscape in digital construction, including key providers and platforms, together with in-depth expertise of a particular software or platforms.
- Familiarity with contemporary digital trends, and ability to horizon-scan, translating abstract digital futures into real-world business threats and opportunities.
- Ability to engage others with the use of digital technology in business delivery across diverse groups of individuals.
About you
Essential:
- Higher education to degree level or equivalent.
- Proficiency in relevant productivity technologies such as Office 365 and a strong commitment to making best use of technologies as they were designed to be used.
- Proven project management skills.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to work with leaders and influencers across the organisation.

- Design experience with Autodesk BIM Software (e.g: Revit, Civil 3D, Plant 3D, Navisworks).
- Experience with ESRI ArcGIS or similar GIS systems.
- Data science background or experience with Microsoft Power Platform including Power BI.
- Automation background or experience with programming languages such as Python or tools like Dynamo.
