Role
Project Engineer (Asset Management) – Multi Utility Project Engineer (Gas, Water, Electric). Murphy iDNO/iGT business is looking to expand their team with a permanent full-time Network Project Engineer for their Gas, Electricity and Water team. This role predominantly involves administrative duties relating to Utilities asset management, network operations, Energisation and Commissioning, maintenance and NCRs logging, enabling the effective and timely applications processing for new customers, assets, generation, faults, and other related activities. This will also involve continuous improvement of the process working closely across the Business Development and managing ICPs to manage whereabouts, general Net administration, enabling the effective and timely processing of site inspections, asset management, quality of installation, defects reporting, all other non-conformance and non-compliance reporting of related activities. The new Project Engineer is responsible for the Energisation and Commissioning, Quality assessment, NCRs, faults, maintenance, and documentation management of all Electricity, Gas and Water asset installation related matters within his or her remit, ensuring all network engineering standards are met, to control our network quality of installation, non-compliance and non-conformance reporting, administration records and standards of the design, construction, operation and maintenance of the gas and electric distribution networks (Multi Utility Distribution) are all met.
A day in the life of a Murphy Project Engineer (Asset Management) includes the following responsibilities:
- Manage the logging of all Energisation and Commissioning site auditing and inspections NCRs, reviewing all day-to-day whereabouts records in accordance with the Company procedure and, analysing all data, making recommendations to avoid any reoccurrences.
- Proactive management of all maintenance, faults and emergency logging throughout the end-to-end process to drive improved outputs with all services providers.
- Support and manage the Energisation and Commissioning process, routine maintenance and inspection programme; raise purchasing orders, and work on cause and effect approach with escalation of open and close out report with all ICPs, as required.
- Provide support to the entire team and assurance that all generic design approval admin of UIPs/ICPs, Contractors and Service Providers queries has been resolved.
- Provide assurance that asset management, document controlling, folder structure, and maintaining of records of the network assets being designed, installed, tested, and commissioned are fit for business purpose, complying with Industry/Regulatory and Legislative requirements.
- Ensure that services providers\' Electricity, Gas and Water Energisation and Commissioning documents are saved properly, suitable, sufficient, and of good quality.
- Provide effective monitoring and operational oversight to the network group email and take ownership of maintaining response and keeping up to date with all requirements.
- Maintain the technical and safety audit/inspections records, ICPs whereabouts, authorisation records, pre and post construction for all asset records.
- Support administration of the Asset management, asset registry, and Document Management System.
Who we are looking for
- Utility coordinator role in the construction industry; Previous experience within Multi utilities industry.
- Experience in Utilities engineering/construction, Gas, Water and Electrical would be advantageous.
- Understanding of Non-Conformance reporting with Root Cause Analysis Knowledge, Inspection & Test Plans & Quality Plans.
- Auditor with solid understanding of ISO 9001:2015 and experience in auditing.
- Standard knowledge and experience of working in gas or electricity distribution networks.
- General knowledge of Standard ICP Gas, Water, or Electricity construction.
- General knowledge of network operation and maintenance.
- Managing site inspection and auditing records.
- Operation and maintenance records; Inspection and Auditing records.
