A day in the life of a Murphy Buyer: Provide an effective and professional service in the procurement of sub-contractors and materials. Work as part of a procurement team supporting the project. Provide best value procurement solutions for the project. Procurement of materials and subcontracts covering; production and management of the procurement schedule, development of supplier enquiry documents in conjunction with project teams. Carry out commercial assessments and award recommendations. Advise on the project's supply chain management activities, including structuring the supply chain and carrying out performance and relationship management to identify opportunities for improved performance and cost efficiencies. Contribute to activities that encourage efficient, productive and continuously improving supply chain performance. Take part in group procurement functional goals and objectives within the region. Continuously identify and review new supply chain members to meet project demand. Build and maintain positive working relationships across the supply chain, encouraging inclusive collaboration, knowledge sharing and mutual respect.
