A day in the life of a Murphy Senior Technician involves:
- Preparation of project design drawings, including all site prep drawings, route plans, working areas, detailed long sections/cross sections, point cloud interrogation & data extraction.
- Taking the role of project lead technician and ensuring co-ordination of multiple discipline details.
- Liaising with colleagues, other departments and project teams with respect to drawing requirements.
- Preparing drawings in accordance with current company CAD Standards.
- Ensuring that drawings are prepared, stored, issued and archived in accordance with company procedures via internal CAD Data Management software.
- Providing support and mentorship to Assistant Technicians/Technicians where required.
- Capability to work to strict deadlines and project budgets.
- Ensuring that chargeable work can be evaluated by the preparation of adequate timesheet records.
- Supporting adoption of the Project CDE and ensuring document control measures are upheld.
- Taking part in roles assigned within a BEP and working to BS EN ISO 19650.
- Creation of project federated models and ensuring compliance.
