Responsibilities:

  • Providing expert leadership and assurance for lifting operations across multiple live projects
  • Ensuring the highest standards of safety, compliance, and efficiency
  • Preparing and reviewing lift plans for a wide range of lifting operations
  • Approving lift plans from internal teams and contract lift providers
  • Ensuring compliance with the Murphy Lifting Operations Procedure
  • Conducting technical reviews Appointed Persons and Lifting Supervisors
  • Working closely with the SHES team to drive best practice and continual improvement
  • Coordinating with Murphy Plant to secure suitable and compliant lifting equipment
  • Supporting constructability reviews and methodology planning from design through delivery
  • Representing AMP8 at Group Fatal and Severe Risk (FSR) working group
  • Driving standardisation and efficiency in lifting planning processes

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 7 years' experience operating as an Appointed Person within civil engineering or infrastructure environments
  • Hold a CPCS Appointed Person/Competent Operator qualification or equivalent
  • Experience within the water industry or major infrastructure projects is advantageous
  • Strong technical knowledge of lifting operations, legislation, and risk management
  • Able to communicate complex lifting methodologies, clearly, both verbally and in written form, to a range of stakeholders
  • Collaborative and professional approach with a strong commitment to safety and compliance
  • Competent IT skills including the use of Microsoft Office applications
