Responsibilities:
- Providing expert leadership and assurance for lifting operations across multiple live projects
- Ensuring the highest standards of safety, compliance, and efficiency
- Preparing and reviewing lift plans for a wide range of lifting operations
- Approving lift plans from internal teams and contract lift providers
- Ensuring compliance with the Murphy Lifting Operations Procedure
- Conducting technical reviews Appointed Persons and Lifting Supervisors
- Working closely with the SHES team to drive best practice and continual improvement
- Coordinating with Murphy Plant to secure suitable and compliant lifting equipment
- Supporting constructability reviews and methodology planning from design through delivery
- Representing AMP8 at Group Fatal and Severe Risk (FSR) working group
- Driving standardisation and efficiency in lifting planning processes
Qualifications:
- Minimum 7 years' experience operating as an Appointed Person within civil engineering or infrastructure environments
- Hold a CPCS Appointed Person/Competent Operator qualification or equivalent
- Experience within the water industry or major infrastructure projects is advantageous
- Strong technical knowledge of lifting operations, legislation, and risk management
- Able to communicate complex lifting methodologies, clearly, both verbally and in written form, to a range of stakeholders
- Collaborative and professional approach with a strong commitment to safety and compliance
- Competent IT skills including the use of Microsoft Office applications
