A day in the life of a Murphy Surveyor includes:
- Installing and verifying site control networks.
- Carrying out topographical surveys and setting out activities.
- Conducting terrestrial laser scanning and managing point cloud data.
- Supporting utility survey teams with data capture, QA, and coordination.
- Maintaining clear and accurate field records and documentation.
Requirements:
- Full UK driving licence.
- Willingness to travel across the UK, including occasional overnight stays.
- Confident using GNSS equipment, total stations, and laser scanners.
- Experience working with survey software such as N4CE, Civil 3D, Trimble Business Center, or Leica Cyclone.
- UAV experience (LiDAR and/or photogrammetry).
- Familiarity with machine control systems and earthworks volume management.
- Strong communication skills and ability to liaise with project teams and subcontractors.
