Senior Desk Administrator

Description
Provide administrative support to investment managers and investment service activities.
Key Responsibilities
Administration responsibilities:
- Be responsible for the new client account opening process
- Prepare transactions for processing on the firm’s systems
- Check contract details against dealing data
- Check valuations and fee notices before sending to client
- Draft client reports and correspondence that would accompany valuations, dealing letters or investment manager recommendations and responses to ad hoc client requests or queries
- Resolve administrative queries with Investment Administration
- Prepare payment, transfer and other Investment Administration forms for investment manager sign-off
- Occasional typing and filing
Client Relationship Responsibilities:
- Receive, process and report transactions to clients
- Be the first point of contact in relation to the administration of their portfolio
- Respond to client queries and instructions by post, telephone, fax and email
- Where appropriate, give factual information about the Firm’s products and services directly to clients, via telephone, email, written correspondence and face to face contact. No investment advice to be given or relayed on to clients, although is permitted to give factual information regarding indices and share prices
- Keep records of relevant information given to clients via the CRM system
- Maintain at least 10 hours of appropriate CPD, logged via CISI
- Work within the Regulatory and the Firm’s compliance framework
- Ensure the Firm’s clients and staff are always treated fairly and responsibly, with respect and consideration.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- At least 2 years directly relevant experience
- Passed the CISI Investment Advice Diploma or equivalent Level 4 qualification
- Demonstrable interest in City Markets and Private Client Fund Management
- Analytical and numerate
- Well organised, with the ability to prioritise tasks
- Customer facing
- Good written, typing and verbal communication skills
- Computer literate, with good MS Excel/Word, PowerPoint, eXimius (or similar), CAPS, Price/Market information systems (varies)
