Description
As an Operations Analyst, you will play a key role in delivering exceptional service to our clients, collaborating/working with colleagues throughout the business and striving to uphold the highest standards of professionalism.
Key Responsibilities
- Undertake all aspects of administration relating to clients’ cash and assets.
- Follow up to date departmental procedures and controls.
- Complete daily/weekly/monthly/yearly checks.
- Effectively manage all internal and external transfers, in and out of the firm.
- Input and authorisation of transfers.
- Provide valuation information to Investment Managers to assist with the efficient transition of client assets.
- Investigate and resolve any failed/unmatched transfers, liaising with both internal and external stakeholders as necessary.
- Ensure the timely settlement of all transfer activities.
- Liaising with external custodians and counterparties with regards to failing/unmatched transactions.
- Daily reconciliation of settled/unsettled transactions.
- Instruct payments relating to external transfers.
- Keep up to date with all changes within the industry relevant to the department and the industry to be able to suggest process enhancements and get involved in projects where required.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- Experience : 2+ years in operations within the financial services industry preferred.
- Investment Operations Certificate : Preferred, to evidence the individual knowledge of the whole industry and dedication to their own career.
- Regulatory Knowledge : A high level understanding of industry regulations including, but not limited to, CASS, MiFID II, COBS, and Consumer Duty.
- Organisational : Self-motivated individual with the ability to plan and deliver to a schedule.
- Communication: Clear communicator with both strong written and verbal skills.
- Adaptability : Ability to adapt to changing environments and manage multiple priorities.
- Collaboration : Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively with various departments.
