We’ve opened a role in our Ottawa office for a talented, entrepreneurial Water Resources Engineer – Land Development (Stormwater) to work alongside exceptional people in JLR’s Land Development group.

Are you a resourceful, clever, and enthusiastic Water Resources Professional (modeler, engineer, or project manager) with at least three years of experience working with PCSWMM?

Your Role as a Water Resources Engineer:
- Work with an established, collaborative team of engineers, technologists, GIS technicians and support staff to develop innovative stormwater and servicing solutions to support urban land development projects.
- Use state‑of‑the‑art stormwater modelling software (PCSWMM, ArcGIS Pro, HEC‑RAS, etc.) to advance innovative, integrated solutions to complex servicing challenges, including dual‑drainage modelling, watershed modelling, hydrology/hydraulic modelling, culvert modelling, pond designs — from master planning through to detailed design and construction of engineering solutions and LID practices.
- Develop stormwater and/or wastewater models to support master planning of linear infrastructure to support growth in existing or new communities.
- Investigate flooding risks along storm and sanitary sewer systems as well as identifying floodplain areas.
- Deliver thoughtful design solutions, developing new business, and working with clients to ensure their expectations are met.
- Model sanitary sewer models using the RTK factors, including sanitary overflow HGL analysis.
