We’ve opened a role in our Kingston office for a talented, entrepreneurial Structural Engineering Graduate to work alongside exceptional people in JLR’s Structural group.

Your Role as a Structural Engineering Graduate

Choose your own adventure! Let’s talk about how your skills, experience, goals, and passions can find a home at JLR. As a Structural Engineering Graduate, your role will include:

  • Working with senior engineers and designers in the design of a wide variety of buildings, industrial facilities, water and wastewater infrastructure, and other structural systems.
  • Collaborating with an established, multidisciplinary, integrated technical team of architects, planners, engineers, and technologists to ensure project deadlines are met and deliverables align with client expectations.
  • Analyzing and designing new building and structural systems using industry‑leading software (e.g., CSI Suite, ETABS, SAP2000, Revit, Altair).
  • Developing designs for modifications to existing structures, including additions, retrofits, and repairs.
  • Carrying out studies, preparing reports, developing design documents, and providing engineering services during construction.
  • Participating in site visits and supporting construction administration through observations and reporting.
  • Communicating ideas with clarity through verbal, written, and graphic methods, including sketches, models, and 3‑D tools.
  • Participating in ongoing professional development, including technical training, mentorship, and collaborative knowledge‑sharing sessions.
