We’ve opened a role in our London and Kingston offices for a talented, entrepreneurial Water/Wastewater Engineer to work alongside exceptional people in JLR’s Environmental group. Are you passionate about building sustainable water, wastewater, and solid waste infrastructure for Ontario communities to help them grow in an environmentally responsible way? Does working with an experienced team to realise high-potential projects and develop local relationships excite you? Do you have a background in environmental, civil, process, or chemical engineering? Are you a resourceful and driven Water/Wastewater Engineer with 4-9 years of experience in design work and project management? You’ll have the opportunity to help establish new clients and partner with existing ones to develop insightful solutions and see projects through from inception to completion. Your Role as a Water/Wastewater Engineer:

  • Working directly with environmental engineers and other discipline team members as part of an integrated project team.
  • Managing and executing a wide variety of design projects involving water and wastewater pumping stations, water storage reservoirs, water/wastewater treatment plants, solid waste and biogas facilities, and providing specialist support to multidisciplinary projects.
  • Managing projects from concept through to completion, including contract administration, commissioning, and closeout.
  • Managing and authoring a variety of studies, including Municipal Class Environmental Assessments and Master Plans for municipal water, wastewater, and solid waste infrastructure.
  • Assisting project managers, engineers, and technologists with project execution during all project phases.
  • Participating in the preparation of proposals, reports, specifications, and budget estimates.
  • Expanding the client base and business opportunities in JLR’s core markets.
  • Mentoring junior engineers and technologists.
  • Conducting occasional site visits and inspection duties for various projects.
  • Communicating effectively with clients, contractors, and other project stakeholders.
