We have opened a role in either our Ottawa or London office for a talented, entrepreneurial Electrical Engineering Professional to work alongside exceptional people in JLR's Industrial Electrical & Automation group.

Do you enjoy being part of the broad discipline that is electrical engineering, taking a deep dive into electrical distribution, automation and controls, instrumentation, PLC programming, processes, and maintaining strong client relationships? Are you energised by the idea of leveraging your industry expertise to expand JLR's client network and make a real impact? Are you a resourceful, clever, and enthusiastic Electrical Engineer or Technologist with 8+ years of experience? Are you a graduate from an accredited electrical engineering or tech program with your P.Eng., CET or LET designation?

Your Role as Electrical Engineering Professional - Industrial:

  • Primarily driving business growth by applying your industry expertise and leveraging your professional network to expand JLR's client base.
  • Designing, conducting internal coordination, project management, and contract administration during construction of industrial type projects, from concept through to completion.
  • Leveraging your specialised electrical engineering experience in industrial automation or manufacturing markets.
  • Assisting with the management of workload of technicians and designers to ensure that project deadlines are met, and final deliverables align with client expectations.
  • Participating in the preparation of proposals and the development of estimates for engineering services.
  • Applying engineering fundamentals, including the application and verification of related software tools.
  • Preparing accurate, clearly written, and well-organised technical reports.
  • Mentoring junior engineers, engineering graduates, and technologists.
  • Coordinating with other engineering disciplines on multidisciplinary projects.
  • Conducting site visits and commissioning of control systems and electrical equipment.
