Warehouse Operative / Customer Service Assistant
J & L Hydraulics Ltd t/a Pirtek Stoke is a leading provider of hydraulic hose replacement and fluid transfer solutions. We are looking for a motivated and reliable individual aged 18+ to join our friendly team in Stoke-on-Trent.
This is an excellent opportunity for a young person looking to start or develop a career within a busy and varied warehouse and customer service environment. Full training will be provided.
The Role
This is a varied position involving warehouse duties, stock control, order picking and customer service support. No two days are the same, and the successful candidate will be willing to work across different areas of the business as required.
Key Responsibilities
- Picking customer orders accurately for preparation
- Receiving and checking deliveries
- Assisting with stock control and stock replenishment
- Serving face to face customers and handling enquiries professionally
- Answering telephone calls and taking messages/orders
- Using computer systems for order processing and stock management
- Maintaining a clean, tidy and safe warehouse environment
- Assisting colleagues with general warehouse and operational dutiesFollowing company procedures and health & safety requirements
