J K Barnes is working with an expanding multi-strategy hedge fund developing multiple greenfield investment verticals alongside its international expansion.
The fund is seeking established Portfolio Managers to help build these businesses, bringing differentiated strategies, strong performance and the ability to scale.
This search is driven by the strength of your track record and investment process, rather than a narrowly prescribed asset class. Discretionary and selective systematic PMs are welcome, including directional, relative-value and arbitrage approaches. The fund can allocate up to $500Mn to suitable PMs or teams, subject to strategy capacity, track record, risk approval and due diligence.
What we are looking for
A verifiable track record generating more than US$20 million in annual trading PnL.
Multi-year monthly performance data with clear personal attribution.
A repeatable investment process with capacity to scale.
Disciplined risk management, controlled drawdowns and effective capital utilisation.
A clear plan for the capital, infrastructure and team required to establish your strategy within a new platform.
Strategies operating predominantly over days to weeks are particularly relevant. HFT and predominantly minutes-to-hours strategies are outside this mandate.
Individual Portfolio Managers and established teams are welcome. Geographic expansion creates opportunities to establish new investment businesses; location and initial onboarding arrangements will be discussed individually.
