A close hedge fund client of ours is building out a systematic Commodities business, headquartered in the UK. There is zero exposure to Commodities at the moment, and they want to bring in a Head of Commodities with PM responsibilities to build a PnL-driven business, with autonomy to stretch the entire Commodities suite.
There must be a strong, proven, CURRENT track record, as well as a history of building successful Commodities verticals and vetting PMs to onboard. There must be relationships for market connectivity and data vendors, as well as knowledge of costs, runway timelines, etc. The fund will absorb a large portion of the costs to get you up and running, and there is flexibility around IP ownership and DD limits. The centralized quantitative resources will be at hand to assist with the infrastructure buildout.
Must have:
- PnL of $20Mn+ annually
- Current live positive track record with a Sharpe of 1.7+
- Extensive experience in the Commodities arena
- Built Commodities verticals previously
