Job Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Business Development Manager to join our brilliant team. The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, building strong client relationships, and driving revenue growth. This role offers an excellent opportunity to utilise your strategic thinking and sales expertise within a collaborative environment. The ideal applicant will possess strong communication skills, be highly organised, and have experience with CRM systems.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage a portfolio of business, with a strong focus on generating new opportunities through proactive follow-up of warm leads and the cultivation of long-term customer relationships;
  • Identify and pursue new business prospects across target markets, applications, and customer segments, ensuring alignment with the company’s strategic objectives and technical capabilities;
  • Prepare quotations and commercial proposals for customer enquiries, ensuring clarity, accuracy, and alignment with agreed terms and conditions;
  • Ensure all customer orders are subject to appropriate contract review, confirming that specifications, pricing, and delivery requirements are accurately captured and achievable;
  • Respond promptly to customer requests for technical information, samples, or support, coordinating closely with Marketing, Technical, and Production teams;
  • Collaborate across departments to ensure seamless order processing, timely delivery, and a consistent focus on customer satisfaction and service excellence;
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records within the company CRM system;
  • Actively contribute to continuous improvement of internal processes, identifying opportunities to streamline, enhance communication, and strengthen sales performance;
  • Represent the company professionally through customer visits, trade shows, and promotional events, supporting brand visibility and business growth;
  • Comply with company policies and procedures, including delegated authority levels, Health & Safety standards, and all relevant ethical and operational guidelines.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in business development or technical sales roles, preferably within a manufacturing/engineering;
  • Proficiency in CRM software;
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously;
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills;
  • Ability to analyse market data and develop strategic plans accordingly;
  • A proactive attitude with a results-oriented approach;
  • Relevant degree or professional qualification in Business Administration, Marketing, or related fields is desirable.
