The predicted salary is between 11 - 16 £ per hour.
Our processing plant and team of operatives are growing, and as a result, we need to expand our team of skilled engineers to be able to carry out proactive maintenance and reactive repairs to our plant machinery across all our operating hours.
The role is responsible for:
- Developing own knowledge and skills by closely working with the skilled Plant Maintenance team with guidance from your skilled colleagues.
- Undertaking inspection and service routines, and repairs and testing of machinery.
- Investigating and diagnosing faults, reporting findings, and carrying out all repairs to manufacturer’s standards.
- Assisting in the cleaning of the MRF in all areas and removing waste within the plant in a safe and efficient manner.
- Ensuring accurate records and information logs for all maintenance activities are completed and filed as required.
What you need:
- Experience in a similar role within a workshop environment.
- Knowledge and understanding of the requirements of working within a time-critical process environment.
- Ability to diagnose problems and identify preventative measures.
- Able to repair hydraulic, mechanical, and electrical systems.
- Demonstrates commitment to own learning and development.
- Experience working with the recycling, waste, or comparable plant industries would be advantageous, but not essential as full training will be provided.
Competitive hourly rate, depending on experience. 37.5 hours / 5 nights per week, Monday 10.00pm to Saturday 6.00am. 28 days annual leave, including bank holidays, rising with service.
