We are looking for experienced and proactive Class 2 drivers to expand our team of dedicated staff!
The role includes:
- Driving our company vehicles in a safe and professional manner to collect and deliver various sizes of skips and containers across our local areas.
- Completing documented pre-use checks on the vehicle and reporting any issues identified.
- Liaising and communicating effectively with customers, members of the public, and various site functions.
- Representing the company in an appropriate and professional manner.
- Completing the daily work schedule in line with the customer and company objectives.
What you need:
- Valid Class 2 category driving licence.
- Proven working experience as a HGV driver, with a good driving record and no traffic violations.
- Able to work proactively, independently, and on own initiative in a fast-paced, high-volume operation.
- Previous experience working as a HGV driver in the waste industry would be advantageous; however, full training will be provided if you do not have this.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Reliability, punctuality, and good levels of attendance are a must.
Salary: From £35k per annum, depending on experience and ability to operate a variety of waste vehicles.
Working hours: 48.75 hours per week, Monday to Friday 6.30am-5.15pm, with alternate Saturdays 7am-12.30pm, paid as extra.
