Finance Assistant

We are looking for an experienced and proactive Finance Assistant to join our current Finance team. This is a new role for the team and needs someone with excellent experience in transactional finance who enjoys working in a fast-paced, busy environment.

Responsibilities

• Ensure all financial processes, including accounts payable, accounts receivable and reconciliations, are carried out in a timely and accurate manner
• Work as a key member of the team, providing comprehensive support to, and building effective relationships with, colleagues, customers and suppliers
• Resolve invoice and payment queries, working closely with internal teams to obtain relevant information
• Manage customers and supplier accounts, ensuring accurate and up to date records of supplier details and transactions

What you need

• Proven experience working in a similar finance role within a fast-paced, busy environment
• Experience with both purchase and sales ledger management
• Strong IT skills and proficiency in the use of accounting software
• Strong numerical and analytical skills
• Outstanding organisational skills, with ability to prioritise work and manage multiple demands
• Excellent communication/interpersonal skills
• Experience of Accounts IQ or similar cloud-based finance system would be advantageous
• AAT level 2 qualification would be desirable, but not essential

The package

• Salary circa £30k per annum DOE
• 37.5 hours, Monday to Friday
