The predicted salary is between 30000 - 40000 £ per year.

Our processing plant and team of operatives are growing, and as a result, we need to expand our team of skilled engineers to carry out proactive maintenance and reactive repairs to our plant machinery across all operating hours.

The role involves:

  • Developing own knowledge and skills by closely working with the skilled Plant Maintenance team with guidance from colleagues.
  • Undertaking inspection and service routines, repairs, and testing of machinery.
  • Investigating and diagnosing faults, reporting findings, and carrying out all repairs to manufacturer’s standards.
  • Assisting in the cleaning of the MRF in all areas and removing waste within the plant in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Ensuring accurate records and information logs for all maintenance activities are completed and filed as required.

What you need:

  • Experience in a similar role within a workshop environment.
  • Knowledge and understanding of the requirements of working within a time-critical process environment.
  • Ability to diagnose problems and identify preventative measures.
  • Able to repair hydraulic, mechanical, and electrical systems.
  • Demonstrates commitment to own learning and development.
  • Experience working with the recycling, waste, or comparable plant industries would be advantageous, but not essential as full training will be provided.

Package:

  • Competitive hourly rate, depending on experience.
  • 37.5 hours / 5 nights per week, Monday 10.00pm to Saturday 6.00am.
